I worked with SQL Server at Consort Securities Systems which used a database to store data imported from the stock exchange's Crest system. Here I developed a good working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
I further expanded my experience of working in database programming and design when working with Oracle at Parallax and Keane.
