I have used Microsoft Excel for many years, both as a general purpose spreadsheet, and for the analysis and prentation of scientific data. I also have experience developing applications using VBA in Excel.
Triton Technology decided that rather than develop a whole suite of software for presenting data in the form of tables and graphs it would be easier to use the functionailty provided in Excel.
In my work for Lacerta Technology I am still responsible for maintaining some of the older software products that use Excel VBA.
I have also recently done some work for a small company helping to fix some problems and add some new features to some programs they have which import data from their MIS databases and produce reports for them in Microsoft Excel.
