Lacerta Technology Ltd. design and manufacturer scientific instruments, in particular devices to aid in the measurement and characterisation of polymers using thermal analysis and related techniques. The company was formed out of what remained when the previous company Triton Technology Ltd. was sold to Mettler Toledo.

I work for Lacerta as software and IT manager. I am currently working part-time, so am also available for other work in software development and website design.

My work involves programming mainly in Vb.Net but we are still maintaining some old software packages written in VB6. I also help to run and maintain the company's IT systems.

I worked for Triton Technology Ltd. as software and IT manager for many years and continued to work for Lacerta Technology Ltd. which was formed from what remained after the company was sold to Mettler Toledo.

Computer programming

My main career for over thirty years has been as a computer programmer and software engineer. I am currently available to work part time on small projects, so please get in touch to discuss any programming or website design jobs you may have.

I am currently working part-time from home as a website developer mostly on small one-off projects. I am proficient in the basic website development tools and systems, html, css, javascript, php and mysql.

Visual Basic .Net

When Triton Technology developed the new identiPol QA instrument we took the opportunity to move to the latest software development environment for Microsoft Windows which was .NET. As we already had a lot of software written in VB6 I decided to implement the new software in Vb.Net.

I first worked with Visual Basic on a project for Transco with Keane. This was probably VB5. I later worked extensively with VB6 at Triton Technology and Lacerta Technology.
