My first encounter with the C programming language was when I was working at Polymer Laboratories.
I was mainly programming at the time using QuickBasic but there was one system written in C that I helped to debug and develop a little.
Later the company switched to using C++ when we started working with Rheometric Scientific, and I worked on integrating support for our instruments in their software.
