Snub Head

This puzzle was for the May 2022 puzzle prompt in the CtC fan discord server which was on the theme of non-square grids. The latest version of the online puzzle tool Penpa+ supports a 'snub square' grid and this is my attempt at something based on that layout.

it is obviously not possible to use normal sudoku rules in this grid. So instead, I came up with the idea of having digits not repeating around a vertex. The overall shape of the standard snub square grid is still roughly square in shape albeit at an angle. So I decided to remove some of the cells to make it into a more rounded shape. What I ended up with looked a bit like a head, hence the name of this puzzle.

Snub Head

Fill each cell with a digit from 1 to 9.
Digits may not repeat in cells that share a vertex.
The digit in a square cell always equals the sum of all triangular cells that share an edge.
